This month, I’m delighted to welcome Cllr. Lydia Hyde to the magazine. As Cabinet Member for Climate, Environment, and Waste for Southend, she shares her passion for preserving Southend’s natural beauty, particularly our trees.
Philip Miller MBE also shares his thoughts on challenges facing our city and the nation, offering a thought-provoking perspective. Southend West’s David Burton-Sampson MP relays the Labour government’s message and commitment to healing the NHS and his vision for a healthier future for our nation.
On a celebratory note, I’m thrilled to announce that the Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation’s Spotlight Appeal, has exceeded its original target achieving a total figure of £684,000 to date! Thanks to incredible ongoing support, a new goal has been set to fund additional vital equipment, including another SGRT machine, for Southend Hospital’s radiotherapy department, see page 38.
Thank you for making this magazine a hub for our vibrant community. Keep sharing your stories and ideas, they’re what make Oracle unique!
