Adults-Only Soft Play Night at Kids Kingdom Southend – Supporting Bone Cancer Research Trust

Southend’s favourite soft play centre, Kids Kingdom at Garon Park, is opening its colourful slides and ball pits exclusively for grown-ups this November, giving adults the rare chance to feel like a kid again — all while supporting a vital cause.

On Saturday 15 November 2025, from 6:15pm to 8:15pm, the popular venue will transform into an energetic playground for adults only, hosting its annual adults-only soft play night in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust. The event invites parents, carers, and anyone young at heart to swap their shoes for socks and dive into two hours of pure fun – complete with slides, inflatables, and laughter.

The highlight of the evening is the infamous “Jelly Mountain”, a towering inflatable peak that challenges even the fittest climbers. As organiser and long-time volunteer Terri Bush humorously puts it, “People come to watch me climb up Jelly Mountain, and I’ve never made it!” Terri has been involved in organising this unique fundraiser for several years, and each event has sold out quickly – so early booking is encouraged.

Tickets are priced at £10.46 (including booking fee) via Eventbrite, with every penny raised going directly to the Bone Cancer Research Trust, thanks to sponsorship from The Good Companions. The evening also features a raffle, priced at £1 per strip, with both cash and card payments accepted.

For those looking to make a full night of it, the event finishes early enough to continue the fun afterwards at local venues nearby. A bar will be open on site, serving alcoholic drinks to keep spirits high throughout the evening.

The event coincides with Bone Cancer Awareness Week (6–12 October), an annual campaign that reminds supporters why these fundraisers are so important. Bone cancer is a rare and underfunded condition, with just 0.02% of Cancer Research UK’s funding currently directed towards it. Terri adds, “The more we raise, the more research can be done — and that really does make a difference.”
