The festive season in Rochford kicks off in sparkling style with the Rochford Christmas Festival 2025, a family-friendly event packed with Christmas cheer, laughter, and community spirit. Taking place on Sunday 7th December, this much-loved celebration transforms Back Lane into a winter wonderland filled with the sights, sounds, and scents of the season.
From 12:30pm to 5:00pm, visitors can explore the bustling Christmas Market, featuring a wide variety of stalls selling festive gifts, crafts, decorations, and delicious seasonal treats. Children will love the funfair rides and, of course, a visit to Santa’s Grotto, where they can meet Father Christmas himself and even spot his famous sleigh parked nearby.
The stage performances begin at 1:30pm, running through until 4:30pm, with a joyful programme of live music, carol singing, and festive entertainment from local schools and theatre groups. Expect to hear your favourite Christmas classics performed by talented local choirs and community groups, all helping to spread that warm holiday feeling.
With twinkling lights, the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts in the air, and plenty of laughter echoing through the streets, Rochford’s annual Christmas Festival truly captures the magic of the season.
