Southend Fireworks 2025 are officially back, set to light up the Essex coastline with another sparkling season of free seafront displays. Running every Saturday night from 27 September to 15 November 2025, these much-loved firework shows remain one of Southend’s biggest autumn attractions, drawing thousands of visitors each week.
Each display lasts for around ten minutes and is launched from a barge anchored out in the Estuary, east of Southend Pier. This offshore location ensures an uninterrupted view along the length of Marine Parade, from Sea-Life Adventure all the way to Genting Casino. For the best atmosphere, many head to the City Beach area, right in front of the arcades, pubs, and takeaways, where the seafront truly comes alive on firework nights.
Now celebrating its 29th year, the Southend Fireworks are proudly delivered by the Seaside Partnership & Others, a collaboration supported by generous donations from local businesses. Key supporters include Adventure Island, Sealife Adventure, Chinnery’s, Pebbles, Beaches, Seafood Shack, Kingpins Bowling, Southend Amusement Arcades, Southend-on-Sea City Council, Essex Chambers of Commerce, and Southend BID. Their combined efforts ensure that the displays remain free to attend, keeping this long-standing tradition alive for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
