The Leader of Southend-on-Sea City Council has welcomed the Government’s latest Budget, saying the measures announced yesterday could be a turning point in addressing longstanding challenges that local authorities face, particularly in areas such as social care, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), and affordable housing.
