Southend-on-Sea City Council is excited to announce that B&M, one of the UK’s leading discount retailers, will open a new store at The Victoria Shopping Centre in early 2025.
The new store will take over the former Wilko unit, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing regeneration of the shopping centre. The council successfully completed the lease agreement, paving the way for this development.
The arrival of B&M aligns with the council’s commitment to revitalising The Victoria Shopping Centre and boosting activity on Southend High Street. Since acquiring the centre in 2020, the council has focused on transforming it into a vibrant retail and community hub.
Conveniently located with excellent transport links, including nearby train and bus services, and ample parking, the B&M store will be easily accessible to shoppers. Offering a wide range of products, including homeware, toys, pet supplies, and food, the store is expected to enhance Southend’s retail offerings and attract visitors from across the region.
