Southend-on-Sea City Council is inviting residents to take part in a ditch clearance event at Belfairs Park on Thursday 12 December.
The initiative aims to improve drainage and address key areas in the park, including the culverts, trotting track, and the ditch running alongside the 18th Tee.
The Council’s Engineering and Parks teams will work alongside Belfairs ward councillors and volunteers to deliver these improvements. Residents can bring their own tools, but some equipment may also be provided on the day.
Cllr Lydia Hyde, cabinet member for climate, environment, and waste, said: “We’re already progressing on a range of improvements at Belfairs Park, with several items now completed and others well underway.
“Events like this are a great way for residents to get involved in enhancing their local area, and we’re grateful to everyone who can lend a hand. This is a great opportunity to make a positive difference to the park and its environment.”
