3 Epic Eating Challenges

Grumpy’s Diner is hosting an afternoon of competitive eating, entertainment and family fun on 20 September 2026. From 1pm to 5pm, the Southchurch Road venue will welcome YouTube food challengers Dan Is Full and Lifting Weights Cleaning Plates for three headline food challenges.

Dan Is Full will face two challenges, while Nick from Lifting Weights Cleaning Plates takes on another sizeable test. Expect generous portions, big appetites and plenty to watch as each challenger tackles their plate.

Visitors can also enter the Amateur Speed Hotdog Competition for the chance to race against fellow audience members and see who can finish their hotdogs fastest. Prizes will be available throughout the event, adding another reason to join in.

There will be entertainment for younger guests too, with face painting and balloon animals on offer. Whether you enjoy watching food challenges, fancy testing your own speed or simply want an entertaining afternoon with family and friends, the event takes place at Grumpy’s Diner, 759 Southchurch Rd, Southend, SS1 2PP.
