Come From Away

Come From Away comes to the Palace Theatre, Westcliff, from 4 to 7 November 2026. This Olivier Award-winning musical is based on the true story of what happened when thousands of air passengers were unexpectedly diverted to Newfoundland after the events of 9/11.

With flights grounded, the residents of Gander welcome around 7,000 stranded travellers into their community. As people from different backgrounds find themselves sharing an unfamiliar place, the story explores the connections, generosity and sense of togetherness that grow during a period of fear and uncertainty.

Featuring an uplifting score and inspired by real people and events, Come From Away offers a moving account of an extraordinary moment in history. Performances run from 7:30pm to 10pm at the Palace Theatre, 430 London Road, Westcliff, SS0 9LA. Book tickets online.
