Superhero Weekend at Southend Pier – Meet & Greet Marvel & DC Favourites

Calling all heroes, heroines, and caped crusaders! Southend Pier is set to host an action-packed Superhero Weekend on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August 2025, from 11am to 4pm. Dress up, power up, and head down to the world’s longest pleasure pier for a weekend of fun and fantasy.

Bring the family and meet iconic characters from the worlds of Marvel and DC Comics – with live appearances from the likes of Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Batman, and more. There’ll be photo opportunities, costume parades, themed music, and chances to interact with your favourite heroes.

Kids are encouraged to wear their best superhero costumes, with spot prizes for the most impressive outfits. Whether you’re more of a Superman or a Supergirl, everyone is welcome in this epic celebration of courage, kindness, and comic book adventure.

The pier’s other attractions will be open as usual – including the Pier Train, gift shop, and Adventure Island nearby – making it a brilliant day out by the sea.
