Supporting Recovery
Scientific evidence shows that staying fit before treatment or surgery can aid recovery and help regain fitness more quickly, improving physical strength and mental resilience.
Exercising during cancer treatment is safe and beneficial – it can improve physical function, reduce treatment-related fatigue, lower anxiety, and enhance treatment tolerance.
Post-treatment exercise (rehabilitation) is also safe and can improve strength, energy levels, and confidence. Regaining fitness after treatment may reduce the risk of recurrence.
Our tailored fitness classes include cardio, weights, circuits, walking, balance, and strength exercises. Our restorative yoga focuses on stretch, balance, and breathing.
We currently have 60 members who support one another, making friends with people who understand their experience.
Community and Social Events
We organise social events throughout the year in relaxed settings, including quizzes, craft evenings, sound bath relaxation, plus additional walks and coffee gatherings in the summer months.
