The NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board (MSEICB) has announced a six-month delay in the final decision-making regarding the reconfiguration of community hospital beds, a midwife-led birthing unit, and ambulatory care services.

A vibrant and heartwarming event took place last week on Southend Pier, celebrating individuals with learning disabilities from across the city.

As part of the Council’s commitment to enhancing air quality across Southend, they initiated an innovative two-year Clean Air Schools Project last year, working with 11 schools. This project is funded by a £256,285 grant from the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).

We have been made aware of a scam involving fraudulent text messages claiming to be from Southend-on-Sea City Council, stating that recipients have a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and providing a link for payment.

This announcement follows the success of City Jam, which brought together over 200 renowned artists from around the world, as well as the launch of the city vision survey.
